Ear Falls
Ear Falls is situated on the English River just west of Lac Seul on Highway #105
in the Patricia Region. As North America's "Bald Eagle Capital," Ear Falls
provides a unique opportunity to witness these majestic birds in flight. While
there, check out the Ear Falls Museum which chronicles the history of the area
with it's display of ancient artifacts.
Sioux Lookout
The community of Sioux Lookout is located on the picturesque Pelican Lake, part
of the spectacular English River Lac Seul Waterway. Originating as a railway
town, it remains one of the stops on the transcontinental Via Passenger train.
The community of Hudson, which is now a part of the municipality of Sioux
Lookout, is the gateway to Vermilion and Lac Seul water systems. It's definitely
worth a visit.
Ear Falls District Museum
Ear Falls District Museum presents aboriginal artifacts, old tools, rock
samples, mounted wildlife, and other objects related to early transportation,
mining and the fur trade. Located 15 Highway 105 North.
Lodges and outfitters are numerous throughout the entire region and are more than willing to make your vacation an unforgettable one. Take in a shore lunch with a guide or rent a reliable boat from your host to whisk you away to a secret honey hole.
